Caoimhe’s spooky story.
Halloween
One night I was out trick or treating with my friends. It was Halloween and there were a lot of children out and about. We turned down a road and we found ourselves in front of an old, run down house. It looked deserted but we tried it anyway.
We started to walk up the old gravel path to the door. I knocked twice on the door with the old rusty knocker. No answer. I knocked again. Then suddenly the door creaked open.
“Hello,” called my friend Hannah. “Is there anybody home?” called Róisín. “Come in,” said a voice spookily.
I screamed. “There is nothing to be afraid off,” said the voice again.
“Where are you?” whispered Hannah.
“Come inside and you will see me,” said the voice
So all three of us stepped inside the house. In front of us we saw an old, white ghost! We all screamed. Then the door shut with a great big BANG. We were trapped!! “Let us out,” I cried. “No,” said the ghost slyly, “not until I am finished with you.” “You can be finished with us now,” cried Hannah and she took a great big swipe at the ghost.
She drew her hand back rather quickly or rather what she thought was her hand. When Hannah caught sight of her arm she screamed like mad. When Hannah had touched the ghost her hand had gotten chopped off!!! “Now I am finished with you,” laughed the ghost. The door swung open and all of us ran out the door never to go back to the haunted house ever again.
